A Dahmah Shahwaniyah received at Prince Mohamed Aly's Manial Stud in winter 1907-08. ( From an early herd book of Prince Mohamed Aly. In this entry, her name is spelled Nadrah, and her sire is spelled Nadir. The 1932 certified pedigree for *Bint Bint Sabbah from the Royal Agricultural Society shows Nadra El Kebira as a Dahmah mare by Nader out of "Dahma, Stud of Ali Pasha Sherif." The RAS History, p33, shows a birthdate of 1891. Lady Anne Blunt [J&C, 12/22/1908, pag 333] describes Nadra El Kebira as a grey Dahmah Shahwaniyah that Prince Mohamed Aly had recently gotten from the Khedive. Khedive Abbas II inherited his father Tewfik's stud in 1892, which included El Dahma, a gift from Ali Pasha Sharif.
