Ignacy Jaworowski remembered about Amurath Sahib, "Amurath Sahib was grey, with a good medium-sized lean head and a very long neck. He had an excellent topline and a fine flat croup which he often passed on to his progeny. Correct limbs and good movement were also this stallion's features. His type, masculine look, and good head were his most impressive characteristics, yet he was slightly flat. He sired foals of large frame who sometimes lacked beauty and dryness and occasionally had a long loin. Mares by Amurath Sahib were all excellent dams through which Polish breeding attained world fame and had remarkable breeding achievement." ( Ignacy Jaworowski is an absolute legend in the whole world of Arabian Horses: he was the director of State Stud Michalow. For his merits, the director received many decorations and distinctions, namely, the American breeders awarded him the title of the best foreign breeder of pure-bred Arabians, the so-called Breeding Oscar in 1991. He received also the Silver Cross of Merit in 1964, the Gold Cross of Merit in 1974, the decoration Deserved Agriculture Employee in 1982, the Order of Polonia Restituta Fifth Class, the Knight’s Cross in 1984, the Order of Polonia Restituta Fourth Class, the Officer’s Cross in 1997 and the Order of Polonia Restituta Second Class, the Commander’s Cross with Star in 2000. At the end of his life, Ignacy Jaworowski received one more, very important distinction for the breeder practitioner, namely, he graduated as a doctor honoris causa of Hugon Kołłątaj Agriculture Academy in Cracow. The ceremony was celebrated on 14 May 2004 at the Stud Farm Michałów. One of his greatness was the deep knowledge of breeding faults and he was rapid in correcting them quickly since breeding teaches humility and I think that these features helped to build such a great stud farm. His clearness of view should be spread in the world of Asayel Arabians.
