Mas'ud Al Dalmi, the true name of the stallion El Delemi, was born in 1848 in the hands of Dughaym Al Dalmi Al Sakb of Fid'aan Anazeh. He was imported in Egypt in utero and he was listed in the Abbas Pasha Sale List. (See "The Arabian Horses of Abbas Pasha, by E.Al Dahdah). Imported in 1860–1 for Bábolna by Prince Ahrenberg. Bábolna stud book states that he was the model of a true Arabian. In 1866, he was transferred to Mezohegyes Stud.
