Born in 1966 in El Zahraa, the dark chestnut Ibn Galal (Magdi) (Galal x Mohga by El Sarei) 1966 first came to Hungary, similar to Farag. His foals there were convincing and so he came to Germany for a year in 1977. At Katharinenhof he was discovered by the married couple Ursula and Willi Poth. Impressed by the harmonious stallion with the masculine charisma, their decision was quickly made; they had to buy Ibn Galal. Babolna already had some impressive offspring at that time and had the stallion retired. Ibn Galal's most influential son, Ibn Galal I (by Hanan), dates from this time. He produced some outstanding broodmares for Babolna, including 214 Ibn Galal I (dam of the stallion Halim Shah I, the champion mare Assad-2 and the gold-winning champion stallion Teymur B) or 223 Ibn Galal I-13, who produced the World Champion Mare Elf Layla Walayla. Ibn Galal also sired licensed sons in Germany like Grane, Ibn Magdi and Kar Ibn Ibn Galal, who, however, had little influence on breeding. Rather, Ibn Galal went down in the annals of Arabian breeding as the sire of excellent dams. There is Kis Mahiba, who in turn produced the "elite mare" Maysouna by Ibn Galal. Maysouna herself is the dam of the "elite stallion" Maysoun as well as the dam of numerous show winners, licensed sons and is with 19 registered foals the best example for the fertility of the thoroughbred Arabian. Kis Mahiba's full sister Sabah also produced licensed sons, e.g. Sameer, Sindibad and the World Junior Champion Sherif Pasha. Then there is Madinah, dam of the "elite mare" Mesoudah-M and her full brother Imperial Madheen, whose offspring are prized worldwide. The list can only remain incomplete in this context. However, one daughter must not be forgotten under any circumstances, 27 Ibn Galal -5 (a.d. Hosna), who founded her own dynasty on the "Simeon Stud" in Australia. Through her daughter Simeon Safanad, she is the grandmother of the world senior champions Simeon Shai and Simeon Sadik. Source: VZAP Elitepferd
